Must be a high school senior
Must be a Hudson resident (can attend any high school in the Northeast Ohio area)
Must be of good character and have made a significant positive impact in another person’s life
Nominator can be a teacher, peer, or parent
Considerations Include:
The individual impacted was dealing with one or more factors putting them at risk (e.g. multiple life stressors, at risk behavior, limited or maxed out coping behaviors, struggle is widely unknown, anything impeding ability to thrive now or in the future)
Actions taken have a direct link to a change in circumstance affecting the life trajectory and/or health and wellness of the individual
Actions were unique to the circumstances and or targeted to the individual.
Examples include, but are not limited to: bullying prevention, suicide prevention, eating disorder interventions, drug/alcohol interventions, severe depression intervention, etc.
Complete the application form and write an essay describing how the nominee impacted another person’s life in a positive way; any supporting documentation to provide extra detail is also accepted
Nominator has choice of keeping the essay confidential or sharing with community
Committee will verify High School attendance of nominee
Application is due March 20, 2026
